As 2025 comes to an end, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the year that was for the SimPictures community.

2025 by the Numbers

Community activity remained strong throughout the year. Below is a summary of what we achieved together:

  • 1,061 pictures shared – A wide range of perspectives from virtual cockpits and external views
  • 2,889 likes – Consistent engagement and feedback on shared content
  • 56 new members – Continued growth with new contributors joining the platform
  • 18 countries represented – An increasingly international community

Where We Flew & What We Controlled

Several flight simulation platforms were used throughout the year. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 was the most commonly used, accounting for 595 flights, followed by X-Plane 12 with 246 flights, and MSFS 2024 with 162 flights.

Top 3 Hubs

  • EFHK – Helsinki-Vantaa
  • VHHH – Hong Kong International
  • RJTT – Tokyo Haneda

The Boeing 737-800 (B738) was the most-flown aircraft type in 2025 with 108 recorded flights. Cathay Pacific was the most frequently used airline livery during the year.
