1.3.1 is a checkpoint rather than a classic update. It collects the bugfixes and improvements made over the past month, along with a few new features.
New features
New image checking tools. Screeners and authors have more ways to inspect images, including a tonal histogram and a new leveling tool. Screeners also received a shortcut for cross-checking metadata across different sources on the internet.
Total pictures count and accept ratio. Member profiles now show how many pictures a user has had accepted and their overall accept ratio.
New user badges and Patreon integration. You can link a Patreon account in Settings, and supporter tiers now come with badges and higher upload limits. Badges also mark screeners and administrators, and appear next to usernames across the site.
Aircraft carriers. You can now set a DCS aircraft carrier as a picture's location, not just fixed airfields. Carriers are searchable by name or pennant code in the upload form.
In progress
Work continues on addon pages, search with more options and picture filtering, a public API, and opening the SimPictures codebase. These realise the project's core ideas. All of them require careful work on the database and infrastructure, so they need thorough planning before release.
