Exactly a year ago, I published the first version of SimPictures, a website for sharing flightsim screenshots. The idea of bringing photography into flight simulation world motivated me to work on this project, and the time invested into this project paid off, as we now have somewhat local, but awesome community of photography and flightsim enthusiasts.
As the developer of this project, I was happy to release updates 1.1, 1.2 and 1.2.1, bringing significant improvements and new features to the website, on my mission to strengthen the connection within the flight simulation community.
The work on SimPictures doesn’t stop, and in the last half a year of working on this project I put attention on stability and integrity, slowly, but surely building a base for the next significant upgrades. There are surprisingly many things to take into count while maintaining this project right - for example, screening is a science in itself that the screening team and me had to learn.
I would like to thank everyone who is with SimPictures, including members contributing their screenshots and screeners moderating the platform. We’ve hit a huge number of 1210 pictures, creating a collection of screenshots of wide range of countries, airlines, aviation niches and addons. Keep an eye out for updates & let’s keep in touch!
